Civil War Monument

Hillside Cemetery, Kinsley

Located in Hillside Cemetery 1 ½ miles west of Kinsley on County L Road (1stStreet) this inspiring structure must be seen to be truly appreciated. Designed by Civil War veteran David A. Lester it is a triumph of a community working together for the greater good.

Historic Palace Theatre

Built in 1917 this gem has been restored and updated by the E Team, a local volunteer group, to feature current movies on a weekly basis. Adult tickets are just $5. Try getting that deal in the city. Now Digital! Movies Fri., Sat., and Sun. nights at 7pm. Call for tours.

Weyrich Basketball Court

Corner of Colony Ave and east 7th Street

Built by community donation and labor this court features height adjustable goals so people of all size can play. The court is lighted and sees activity year-round.

Edwards County Golf Course

Located 2 miles south of Kinsley on Hwy 183 this beautifully manicured 9 hole course provides challenge and entertainment for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Set in the sand hills of the Arkansas River Valley the tree lined bluegrass fairways and greens form an oasis on the prairie. Green fee (all day for $20) players are welcome and rental carts are available.

Kinsley Gun Club

The club was formed in 1901 and moved to it’s current location on Briggs Ave. just south of the city limits in 1948. They hold Wednesday evening weekly shoots, last Sunday monthly shoots and host several annual events.

Edwards County Wellness Center

Operated by and located in the Edwards County Hospital. The facility features both fixed exercise equipment and a solid assortment of free weights. Single and family memberships can be purchased in several packages. The Center’s card key system allows members access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Kinsley South Park

The largest of Kinsley’s parks offers activity for all. Playground and exercise equipment, two newly renovated ball diamonds (featuring a 1930’s Limestone Grandstand) , public swimming pool, a ½ mile walking path, public bathrooms and picnic facilities in several spots. Located between 12th and 13th streets just off Hwy 183 on Kinsley’s south side this place is getting better all the time (coming soon a 9 hole disc golf course).
